Women are an integral part of a family, a culture, a society and most importantly, a nation. In order for a woman to excel in all these spheres, she needs to be backed by quality education. This, sadly to say, in many countries, is not being carried out. Why is this so, when so much emphasis on education is being placed nowadays? An ancient Sanskrit saying says, woman is the home and the home is the basis of society. It is as we build our homes that we can build our country. If the home is inadequate, either inadequate in material goods and necessities or inadequate in the sort of friendly, loving atmosphere that every child needs to grow and develop then that country cannot have harmony and no country which does not have harmony can grow in any direction at all.
That is why women's education is almost more important than the education of boys and men. Gender inequality in education is extreme. Girls are less likely to access school, to remain in school or to achieve in education. Education helps men and women claim their rights and realize their potential in the economic, political and social arenas. It is also the single most powerful way to lift people out of poverty. Education in schools plays a particularly important role as a foundation for girls’ development towards adult life. It should be an intrinsic part of any strategy to address the gender-based discrimination against women and girls that remains prevalent in many societies. Everybody has the right to education, which has been recognized since the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) in 1948. Cultural and traditional values stand between girls and their prospects for education. One reason for denying girls and women their right to an education is rarely articulated by those in charge: that is their fear of the power that girls will have through education. Basic education provides girls and women with an understanding of basic health, nutrition and family planning, giving those choices and the power to decide over their own lives and bodies. Women's education leads directly to better reproductive health, improved family health, economic growth, for the family and for society, as well as lower rates of child mortality and malnutrition. Therefore, we must realize the value of women’s education and make efforts to bring about change so that the whole country benefits. Stress is an inevitable part of life. Human beings experience stress early, even before they are born. A certain amount of stress is normal and necessary for survival. Stress helps children develop the skills they need to cope with and adapt to new and potentially threatening situations throughout life. Support from parents and/or other concerned caregivers are necessary for children to learn how to respond to stress in a physically and emotionally healthy manner.
Any human of any age is actually susceptible to stress, so children are not uniquely prone to it. They're just as likely as any of us to become stressed. There's no specific age where you'd start noticing this or seeing this. The symptoms of stress are pretty much the same for kids and adults. And things to watch for would be changes in mood or changes in behaviour, low mood, anxiety, lack of interest in things that the child use to enjoy and trouble sleeping, trouble eating, trouble doing the things they usually do pretty well. Most people figure that stress is something that affects adults only, but these days, with all the pressures put on children, they can suffer from it as well. Stress in children can have some very negative effects and if it continues for a long while, it can be detrimental to a child's health and development. Tolerable stress refers to adverse experiences that are more intense but still relatively short-lived. Examples include the death of a loved one, a natural disaster, a frightening accident, and family disruptions such as separation or divorce. If a child has the support of a caring adult, tolerable stress can usually be overcome. Stress is most often seen as an overt physical reaction: crying, sweating palms, running away, aggressive or defensive outbursts, rocking and self-comforting behaviours, headaches and stomach-aches, nervous fine motor behaviours etc. the first and foremost change should come from the side of parent who understand child more than anyone else in this world. Other than parents schools can play a major role in this as children rely more on teachers and friends. It is the responsibility of every best Hyderabad school and teachers to lighten the study stress and other mental stress of a child. If they all work collectively to pacify the stress and burden in the mind of a child, then there is a possibility where we can hope for a stress free generation. Social consciousness, or the awareness of society, is central to the experience of being human. In order to participate as contributing members of the community and broader society, children need to learn to not only be responsible for themselves, but also for others and the environment. This social responsibility involves a deep awareness of our interdependence and interconnectedness with the entire web of life: the human, animal and natural world. Social awareness also means being aware of the problems and hardships that different societies and communities face on a day-to-day basis and having an obligation to act to benefit others.
The development of social consciousness can help children discover who they are as individuals, what abilities they possess, and what part they can play in a complex and diverse world by drawing upon their strengths. Social consciousness promotes critical thinking skills and is the precursor to social change. As parents, you can provide opportunities for your children to learn about pertinent social and global issues and how they can contribute to the greater good through social action. A social consciousness anchored in empathy and compassion for the people around us. These values are especially important in a context where youth culture appears to be increasingly self-centered and materialistic; compassion and empathy give children the ability to connect with others and understand the presence of something greater than the self. Parents can lead their families in developing attitudes of community and social responsibility by activating in their children the impulse to act on behalf of others and the community. Along with parents boarding schools and teachers can play a major role here. What I call a school as best schools vizag is one where children are taught about the world where they live and people in it rather than only concentrating on academic studies. Encourage interaction with diverse peers. When children interact with people who come from vastly different backgrounds, they can engage in critical debates and confront the differences between their own point of view and that of others. They learn to develop a concern for general social issues rather than a concern with only their own world and immediate social group. Children will learn important lessons and acquire vital social capacities to function in the larger society from their dads. With your guidance, they can be transformed from passive spectators to activists, channeling their focus and energy on solutions that could make a meaningful difference in other people’s lives. Our children are our future—and understanding and supporting their natural yearning for physical activity will help lead them to a lifetime of happy and healthy living. If we joyfully teach them how to include healthy exercise from the early stages of their development, we will be giving our children a gift that will endure throughout their lives. Exercise for children (or adults) may do far more than improve physical fitness. It may also stimulate brain growth and boost cognitive performance.
Children who are in formal routines may also miss out on play exercise, and parents who feel their children are in fitness programs may allow extra snacks or decide not to participate in an outdoor activity because their child has already worked out for the day. It may seem obvious, but in this modern day of iPhones and Xboxes it probably needs to be repeated: exercise is really, really good for children. Among the many benefits are physical fitness, confidence and stronger self-esteem, more energy, better memory, and simply a good feeling about themselves—and they are easy to achieve. The main consideration in this manner is the encouragement from all spheres to children. Parents are the main source for this but other than parents’ schools play a major role in this as they can easily influence and motivate children to do so. There many schools in Chandigarh who concentrates on the health of children. Outdoor games and playful workout routines can be the tools that instill lasting joy of exercise. Exercise enhances the brain’s metabolism. Studies show that active children have improved memory as a result of better brain function! Active children improve their body’s ability to absorb oxygen through aerobic exercise. Due to the increased oxygen in their body’s cells they feel more energized. More oxygen translates into more energy. Children schools in Chandigarh are less likely to become overweight and will have better control of their body fat. Overweight children are able to reduce their body weight and body fat due to the physiological effect of burning fat while exercising. Increased blood flow promotes the body’s transportation of the byproducts of metabolism and toxins back from the cells for elimination, recycling, or further use elsewhere. Children who exercise feel fitter and more energized because of their body’s ability to detoxify. Exercise should be fun. The mouse experiments are based on voluntary wheel-running. When rodents are forced to exercise, they don’t always reap the benefits. Childhood is an exciting, fun and challenging period of life. Every new experience is an opportunity to learn and grow. It is the most critical time for building the physical, mental and emotional foundations that will support us for the rest of our lives. They say that music is the universal language. Regardless of where you are from or what your background, a good melody is something that everyone can enjoy and understand. Learning to play a musical instrument offers a lot of benefits.
Many studies have been conducted on the effects of music to the brain. Scientists say that children who are exposed to music, or those who play an instrument, do better in school than those who don't. Adults can benefit from learning to play an instrument too because it helps the mind to be alert and remain active eventually helping to sharpen the memory. In addition to improving creativity, learning music cultivates many skills that will continue to be useful to your children throughout their lives. Early musical training helps develop brain areas involved in language and reasoning. It is thought that brain development continues for many years after birth. There is also a causal link between music and spatial intelligence (the ability to perceive the world accurately and to form mental pictures of things). This kind of intelligence, by which one can visualize various elements that should go together, is critical to the sort of thinking necessary for everything from solving advanced mathematics problems to being able to pack a book-bag with everything that will be needed for the day. Learning a musical instrument will help your child develop concentration, as they must focus on a particular activity over extended periods of time. Developing concentration in this way also will help them when they must focus their attention on other subjects at school. More and more, music therapy is being used to complement more traditional forms of medicine. Researchers acknowledge that certain types of music can aid relaxation by lowering heart rates and blood pressure. The act of learning and playing an instrument, the encouragement of a teacher and the enthusiasm of a proud parent, will build in a child a sense of pride and confidence. Moreover, children who practice self-expression and creativity often become better communicators later in life. Many best schools in Chandigarh make children practice music on a daily basis. Schools in Chandigarh for example made it as part of their curriculum so that this will help children in their future life. Our nation’s future relies on a well-educated public to be wise towards of the very environment that sustains us, our families and communities, and future generations. It is environmental education which can best help us as individuals make the complex, conceptual connections between economic prosperity, benefits to society, environmental health, and our own well being. Ultimately, the collective wisdom of our citizens, gained through education, will be the most compelling and most successful strategy for environmental management. When should environmental education begin--in the third grade; first grade; kindergarten? Even earliest it should start. Environmental education based on life experiences should begin during the very earliest years of life. Such experiences play a critical role in shaping life-long attitudes, values, and patterns of behavior toward natural environment.
A Native American proverb says “we do not inherit the earth from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children”. This is an absolute true statement in today’s context. As parents, we care about the environment, in large part, out of concern for our children. And when we begin to realize the environment, as our children will know it, depends on the lifestyle policies we adopt in order to protect their health and well-being, there will then be an instinctive understanding that the environment, as our children’s children will know, it depends on the lifestyle policies they adopt. In our Boarding schools in India , research has shown enormous benefits from environmental education. When integrated into a science curriculum, environmental education demonstrably improves student achievement in science. Such an increase is likely due to the fact that environmental education connects classroom learning to the real world. Students, when given a choice, will gravitate towards environmental science. When integrated into the core curriculum or used as an integrating theme across the curriculum, environmental education has a measurably positive impact not only on student achievement in science, but also in reading (sometimes spectacularly), math, and social studies. Yet many children have little or no meaningful exposure to environmental education or opportunities to connect with the natural world because they are involved with activities that isolate them from it. Computers, video games, television, schools' emphasis on homework, a full after-schools in vizag schedule of extracurricular activities, lack of access to natural areas, all these things and more are isolating children from the natural world and the advantages of environmental education. You don't need to be a teacher to promote environmental education for children. In the classroom of life, we are all teachers, and we are all students. Importance of discipline for children If you’ve ever known kids who are not regularly disciplined by their parents, you’ve probably seen some very stark examples of why it’s important to discipline children. Discipline is not only good for children, it is necessary for their happiness and well-being. Discipline is as vital for healthy child development as nutritious food, physical and cognitive exercises, love, and other basic needs. Without discipline, children lack the tools necessary to navigate relationships and challenges in life such as self-discipline, respect for others, and the ability to cooperate with peers.
The word discipline means to import knowledge and skill – to teach. However, it is often equated with punishment and control. There is a great deal of controversy about the appropriate ways to discipline children, and parents are often confused about effective ways to set limits and instill self-control in their child. Discipline should be inculcated from a very young age. Talent and genius alone are not enough to achieve success. Discipline has an equally important role to play. Talents blossom in a disciplined person. Contrary to what some parents may mistakenly believe schools in Vizag, children who are not regularly disciplined are not happy. In fact, failure to discipline children often results in kids who are unhappy, angry, and even resentful. To those around him, a child who is not disciplined will be unpleasant company, and a child without discipline may find it difficult to make friends. For Boarding Schools India in particular, learning how to manage their own behavior and regulate their negative impulses is particularly crucial. As elementary-school age children head into adolescence and the turbulence of the teenage years, they will be much more likely to successfully navigate challenges and temptations if they have the tools to discipline themselves. If discipline isn’t the same as punishment, that definitely rules out spanking. Although some parents see it as the ideal short, sharp shock, especially if their child is engaging in behavior that risks his safety, using it for day-to-day punishment risks teaching your child that physical aggression is OK. Always keep in mind that you’re aiming to teach your child what behavior is acceptable – not punish him for being bad. Discipline is about changing behavior, not about punishing children. Consideration should be given to cultural differences, and adjustments should be made for a developmentally challenged child. Effective discipline should be based on academic facts rather than subjective opinion. The conclusions and recommendations in this statement should, therefore, be viewed as subject to revision and clarification as data continue to accumulate. Young children are constantly developing both mentally and physically, their development regarding communication is influenced by those around them. To get you message across to a child may require more thought and skill than when communicating with an adult because the child will not have as high a level of communication skills themselves. In a learning environment children may respond more to other forms of communication such as non-verbal types using pictures, sounds shapes or visual aids is often helpful to keep a young child's attention or if their communication skills are not developed enough for full conversation yet. Having effective communication skills means more than just knowing how to talk. Children often need guidance in learning how to interact with others when speaking, writing and using electronic forms of communication. Use role-playing to teach children how to communicate with peers and adults. It's a fun and engaging way for kids to learn. Very young children often aren't able to express their thoughts and feelings in words, or express them poorly. Because of this, it's important that adults working with them can listen carefully and help children to learn how to express themselves and also provide what they need. Children are 'social learners' and learn by copying other people, so any adults working with them should model good communication, both speaking and listening, so that children will learn from them. Children need to know that they are being listened to and heard. This helps them to build up a rapport and trust with adults and promotes better relationships. The more you learn how to listen to children, the better you will be able to assess their abilities and interests and plan for their next steps in learning and development. You will also get to know them well and then you can support their emotional needs by being in tune with them. The better and sooner children learn to communicate, the more easily they will form friendships and their confidence and self-esteem will increase. How would you support your children's learning about languages and communication? It is possible to develop the art of language skills just by talking to your baby. Just go on talking endlessly to your child! Share what you are planning to do in the next ten minutes, what you are seeing outside the window and how you feel about the weather outside. It is very critical for your baby to hear you speak some language! Just pretend as if your child can understand what you speak to your child. Other than parents even teachers, schools in Chandigarh and all can develop this quality in children at a very young age. Do your children know where India is? Or what the capital of Wisconsin is? Do they know where they could see Ayers Rock and what language is spoken in Egypt? As computers and the internet and air travel turn our world into a global village, it is more and more important that we teach kids Geography. Whether your children are homeschooled or attend public or private schools, the chances are you wish they knew more than they do about countries and people and cultures. An earthquake and tsunami in Japan, unrest in Egypt or even uncle Joe going on vacation to Barbados - all these events give you the opportunity to teach Geography. Grab a globe or an atlas and get your children to look for the places in the news. Children love a challenge, and each time they do it, they will get a little faster. Of course, this does mean you need a good atlas or globe in your home! Or even a wall map. These items are easy to find at places like Target and Office Depot and don't need to cost a lot. Most kids love games. And there are many great games available that are geography based. Your children will be having so much fun playing that they won't even realize they are learning at the same time. Some of kids’ favorite computer games are Geography-related - not because they are about geography, but just because they are so much fun. All the ones I am listing were / are played over and over again by my own children. These are all really fun - your kids won't think about them as 'educational' - yet they are. If your family likes jigsaw puzzles, they are a fun way to learn about different states, countries, continents and the world. And working on jigsaw puzzles are also great bonding times as a family. Movies are a great way to experience Geography - you get to 'see' the places and people. There are great documentaries that are very entertaining to watch, or you could watch a movie set in a foreign country. There is no better way to learn geography than to see it yourself. And also a great way to learn about other countries is to communicate with the people living there. You could look for pen pals for your children. This will give them an in depth knowledge about a specific country. |
